What this policy covers
This policy applies when you browse CzechTrade.ge, submit the project-enquiry form, contact us by email or telephone, use Smartsupp live chat after enabling optional communication tools, or open the Elfsight WhatsApp widget. It also explains how we may handle professional contact information used during B2B market research, partner identification and commercial introductions.
Smartsupp and Elfsight are independent technology providers. Their scripts are not loaded unless you choose Enable chat & WhatsApp in the site privacy controls. If you follow an external link or continue from the WhatsApp widget into WhatsApp, the destination service processes data under its own terms and privacy policy.
Personal data we process
- Project enquiries. Name, business email, company, country, selected service, project description, language and the fact that you acknowledged this Privacy Policy.
- Direct communications. Information contained in emails, telephone conversations and other correspondence you choose to send us, together with the contact details needed to respond.
- Smartsupp live chat. If you enable the optional communication tools, Smartsupp can use a browser visitor identifier and technical information needed to operate the chat. If you start a conversation, we receive the message content and any name, email, telephone number or other information you choose to provide in the chat.
- Elfsight WhatsApp widget. If you enable the optional communication tools, Elfsight supplies the on-page WhatsApp interface and may receive technical data such as IP address, operating system and browser type for delivery, security and service operation. If you then open WhatsApp, subsequent communication is handled by WhatsApp/Meta under its own terms.
- Professional B2B contact data. Where relevant to a client project, we may use names, job titles, company affiliations and professional contact details supplied by a client, supplied by the person concerned, or made publicly available by a company, professional directory, public register or other legitimate business source.
- Technical information. The website stores a first-party browser preference recording your choice about optional communication tools. A short server-side PHP session may be created when the contact form is submitted to limit repeated submissions. The hosting environment may also create ordinary security/access logs such as IP address, request time, requested URL and browser/user-agent information.
Please do not send passports, identity documents, health information, criminal-record information, banking credentials or other sensitive material through the public enquiry form or live chat unless we have specifically agreed a secure method and the information is genuinely necessary for the engagement.

- Business administration and security: to keep reasonable records of enquiries and engagements, prevent form abuse, protect the website and establish or defend legal claims.
- Legal and regulatory obligations: where records or disclosures are required by applicable law, a court or a competent authority.
The website enquiry form is not a newsletter subscription and does not enrol you in marketing communications. If we ever introduce direct electronic marketing, we will use a separate lawful process and obtain consent where required. Georgian law requires consent for processing personal data for direct marketing.
Optional communication tools and consent
Smartsupp and Elfsight are disabled by default. They load only after you choose Enable chat & WhatsApp. That choice is saved in first-party browser storage so we can respect it on later pages. Choosing Essential only prevents those third-party scripts from loading on CzechTrade.ge.
The browser choice concerns the loading of optional third-party technologies. Once you deliberately start a chat or send a message, the information you provide is processed so that we can answer your request, manage a prospective business relationship or deliver an agreed service. You can change the browser choice at any time through Cookie settings in the footer. Withdrawing the optional choice prevents future loading on this site; provider cookies already stored in your browser may need to be removed through browser site-data controls.
Who may receive personal data
We do not sell or rent personal data. Access is limited to people who need the information for the relevant purpose. Depending on the engagement, recipients may include personnel working for TBILISI EXPAT LLC, hosting and email providers, professional advisers, translators, researchers or local experts, and business counterparties where an introduction or contact is part of the requested service.
If you enable optional communication tools, Smartsupp acts as the live-chat technology provider and Elfsight provides the embedded WhatsApp interface. If you choose to continue into WhatsApp, WhatsApp/Meta becomes an independent recipient/controller for that communication under its own privacy terms. We may also disclose information when required by law or a binding request from a competent authority. We do not publish the contents of private enquiries or chats on the website.
Georgia, Czechia and international processing
The website is operated from Georgia and serves companies working between Georgia and Czechia. If you contact us from Czechia, another EEA country or elsewhere, your enquiry is transmitted to and handled by the operator in Georgia. A project may also involve counterparties, advisers or service providers in Georgia, Czechia or another country relevant to the requested work.
Where a transfer is subject to a legal restriction, we apply the safeguards required by the law that governs that transfer. If EU or EEA data-protection law applies to a particular processing activity, the rights and safeguards provided by that law apply in addition to the Georgian framework.
How long we keep information
We do not keep enquiry data indefinitely simply because a form or chat was submitted. If an enquiry does not develop into an engagement, correspondence is normally retained for up to 24 months after the last substantive contact, unless there is a reason to keep it for longer, such as an ongoing negotiation, a complaint or a legal claim.
If an engagement proceeds, relevant project and business records are kept for the duration of the relationship and afterwards for the period reasonably required by applicable accounting, tax, contractual and limitation rules. Smartsupp chat content and visitor data are retained according to the settings applied to our Smartsupp account and the requirements of the relevant business relationship. Elfsight states in its privacy policy that the IP address, operating system and browser information it collects for service operation are stored for seven days. Technical session information on CzechTrade.ge is short-lived; the browser consent preference remains until you change it or clear the relevant browser storage.
Security
We use reasonable organisational and technical measures appropriate to a business website, including HTTPS transport, access limitation, anti-abuse controls on the enquiry form and minimisation of the data requested. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, which is why the public form is deliberately not designed for sensitive document uploads.
Your rights
Under the Law of Georgia on Personal Data Protection, data subjects have rights that include receiving information about processing, access to their data, correction or updating, deletion or destruction where the legal conditions are met, restriction/blocking in relevant cases, data portability in qualifying automated processing, objection in applicable circumstances, withdrawal of consent where consent is the basis, and protection in relation to qualifying solely automated decisions. Rights may be subject to lawful exceptions.
To make a request, email info@czechtrade.ge and describe what you need. We may ask for information sufficient to confirm your identity before disclosing or changing personal data. Exercising a statutory data-protection right is not charged merely because a request is made, subject to the exceptions permitted by applicable law.

Complaints
If you believe your personal data have been processed unlawfully, please contact us first so that we can examine the issue. Georgian law also gives a data subject the right to apply to the State Audit Office of Georgia in the field of personal-data protection or to a competent court. Under the current Georgian data-protection law, the State Audit Office exercises supervisory functions in the field of personal-data protection. If GDPR applies to your case, you may also have the right to complain to the competent supervisory authority in the EEA country concerned.
Children and changes to this policy
This is a B2B website intended for companies, professionals and public-sector stakeholders, not for children. We do not knowingly seek personal data from children through the project-enquiry form.
